High-quality steel for precision cutting

Alleima® 13C26 and Alleima® 10C28MO2 is a martensitic stainless steel designed for razor blades, surgical instruments, and precision cutting tools. It delivers exceptional sharpness, durability, and corrosion resistance, ensuring long-lasting edge retention and hygienic properties.

Supplied as cold-rolled strip steel with tight dimensional tolerances, superior flatness, and high straightness accuracy, it guarantees efficient razor production and consistent blade quality.

Why choose Alleima’s razor blade steel?

Optimal hardness and sharpness - our steel undergoes a carefully controlled heat treatment, resulting in a fine martensitic structure with small carbides. This provides outstanding edge retention and long-lasting sharpness.

Corrosion resistance - The high chromium content ensures excellent corrosion resistance, essential for hygienic applications such as razors and medical instruments. Ideal for use in humid environments, such as bathrooms.

Custom solutions - We offer tailor-made dimensions and surface finishes, ensuring optimal performance for each specific application.

Applications

Our blade steel is used in a wide range of razor blade applications, including disposable razors and multi-blade systems.

Alleima blade steels combine a very fine microstructure with high hardness to enable extremely sharp, consistent cutting edges. Their balanced profile of edge stability, toughness, and corrosion resistance supports thin, durable edges and reliable performance in humid and chemically exposed environments.

Alleima® 13C26 is known for its exceptional edge sharpness and stability, while Alleima® 10C28Mo2 offers an optimized balance of hardness, toughness, and corrosion resistance. Both grades are widely used across razor blade designs depending on the targeted performance profile. Learn more in the datasheets for each grade.

Delivery Formats for Razor Blade Steel

To support diverse manufacturing processes, we offer razor blade steel in multiple formats:

  • Coils – Wound on plastic cores (Ø 280 mm / 11 in.) for continuous production with minimal handling. Available in 1-5 kg/mm strip width, with an outer diameter of 500-1000 mm (20-40 in.).
  • Bundles – Long, welded strips on paper cores (Ø 305 mm / 12 in.) with high-strength welds and precise tolerances. Maximum weight: 300 kg (660 lbs).

All formats are carefully packed according to customer requirements, destination, and transport method.
